• Seismic Refraction Subsurface Imaging: Seismic refraction is a non-invasive method of subsurface imaging that can not only identify strata layers, depth to bedrock, and material density, but it can also be used to determine rock rippability. Seismic refraction works by releasing a sound wave into the ground and measuring the arrival times of the sound at different locations through the use of small sensors called geophones. The arrival times of the sound waves can be used to build 2D profiles and 3 dimensional models of the subsurface strata. • Site Geological Surveys and Analysis: Mantega can identify the geologic formation(s) that underlay potential construction projects to determine feasibility of construction and to identify potential geologic risks.
